Link building is a complex and tiresome task. It’s always front and centre within the SEO industry and there are many tips and tricks from the best builders globally.
One of my favourite approaches is rather simple but tedious. As the good LORD says: Ask! and you shall receive.
Being kind and courteous when you approach websites goes a long way too especially when they feature your client’s content.
When you approach these website owners, remember you are dealing with a HUMAN being. Take time to know their first name (at least), their position (editor in chief) and think about how a link to your client’s website also benefits them. Draft your emails as unique and personable as you possibly can. It takes more time but goes a lot further long term.
We started this approach with one of our NEW clients in September and the referring domains have grown considerably.
